Radius PT15

pt15 The PT-15 Veneer Former is designed for the forming of veneers to large radius shapes with included angles less than 180 degrees. The patented, ruggedly built machine features welded steel frame construction and quality components for a long and productive life. The machine can be used as a cold press or with optional heat bands. The machine is built to fit the needs of the user. A variety of sizes are available so that the user need only purchase the capabilities for their particular operation. Custom modifications are available upon request and are provided at an economical cost.

Specifications

  • The machine can form parts with a minimum inside radius of 12”. The maximum radius is unlimited, flat linear shapes can be formed.
  • Maximum part length is 12’.
  • Maximum thickness 4 ½.
 Maximum part width is 7".
  • The machine includes a computer program that is compatible with Microsoft Windows.
  • Arc section geometry is entered into the program which then calculates proper set-up of the machine.
  • This information can be printed out for use by the operator.
 The computer software is designed to easily compensate for spring back of radiused parts.
  • The main frame press frame uses heavy wall steel tubing and C Channel for strength and long life.
  • Machined rails support heavy aluminum form arms that are manually adjusted to define the inner radius of the component.
  • Manual pneumatic clamps, each with manual control and a quick connect fitting, apply clamping pressure to the parts for laminating.
  • Clamping pressure is applied in a progressive manner, beginning in the middle, to allow the laminates to move slightly in relation to each other for tighter laminated parts.
  • The machine does not require forms or fixed shapes of any kind.
 The machine is shipped complete and ready to operate with either cold curing of glues.
