RFgeneratorMAIN A Radio Frequency Generator with an output at the electrode of 150 kW, designed for industrial applications in woodworking. The generator features a metal cabinet, solid-state rectifiers, arc suppression and plate overload circuitry to maximize efficiency and performance.

The generator is equipped for edge gluing operation, and includes the required shielded electrode connection point and safety interlock circuits for safe operation.  We can build different size Radio Frequency Generators according to the customers application and requirments.

Radio Frequency Specifications 150 kW RfsProtech Generator

  • An all aluminum cabinet for superior conductivity and maximum efficiency.  Size is 96″ x 96″ x 84″ tall.
  • 150 kW output power at the electrode will heat approximately 11,250 square inches of glue line per minute (7.258 m/square).
  • The power tube will be water cooled with separate water to air heat exchanger, all plumbing and safety switches for long life.
  • The heat exchanger will be a totally enclosed system with a properly sized radiator, three phase fan units, three phase water pump, make –up water tank, pressure switches, flow switches and all plumbing to both the power tube and the tube leads.
  • Controls include one (1) digital timer for cycle time; Grid Current, Plate Current  and all other controls required for safe operation.
  • Standard control voltage is 120 VAC unless otherwise specified.
  • Safety interlock circuit prevents operation if any generator doors are open, or if the generator has a fault condition, or if press interlock circuit is not made.
  • Safety interlock press circuit brought out to terminal strip for customer use (i.e. door interlocks and hydraulic system pressure proving).
  • Arc suppression and plate overload circuits designed for edge gluing operation.
  • All controls are mounted on the front panel of the generator, including an Emergency Stop, which has contact brought out to the terminal strip for stopping press elements (field wiring by customer).
  • Plate and Control circuit breakers provided.  A safety service disconnect is required for installation, but is not provided as part of this contract.
  • Power required:  480V/ 3phase / 60C.  Other voltages available please specify.
  • AutoTune, automatically adjusts the variable position so as to match the generator to the press load throughout the cure cycle.
  • Includes motorized variable positioning, DC controller, and Power Position panel mounted meter. Also includes manual push button control of the variable.
  • The Auto Cure feature sets the correct cycle time RF insuring error free operation and eliminating the need for the operator calculating the time cycle. This control measures the rate of cure of the glue and stops the Radio Frequency Generator cycle at the optimum time and increases the efficiency particularly with random width lumber
